Summer Steak Salad with Watermelon, Avocados & Blackberries
12 oz. NY Strip Steak, room temp
1 Tbsp. Olive Oil
1 Tbsp. Ghee
Flakey Sea Salt
Preheat your oven to 450° F and season your steaks evenly with kosher salt & pepper. Once your oven is at the correct temperature, heat a large cast-iron skillet over high heat. Add olive oil to the pan and swirl to coat. Once hot, add your steak to the pan and sear for 3 minutes, flipping half way through. Top steak with ghee and place pan in oven for 3-5 minutes depending on how rare you like your steaks. Remove from oven and allow to rest for 5 minutes, then thinly slice.
While your steak is resting, add baby arugula to your plate and top with blackberries, watermelon chunks, and avocado chunks. Lastly, add your thinly sliced steak. Drizzle with balsamic and sprinkle with flakey sea salt. Enjoy!
