Land O'Lakes Deli American and Bacon Stuffed Bacon Cheeseburger
I'm so excited to be partnering with Land O’Lakes and TheFeedFeed to bring you a taste of what I love about New York City! An absolutely epic Deli American and bacon stuffed bacon cheeseburger using Land O Lakes® Deli American Slices!
Growing up, my parents worked in the fashion industry in “the city!” I would get so excited to go in and see them because we would always go out for the most amazing food! Full transparency, I went through a hardcore cheeseburger phase, and I’m pretty sure my mom was worried that I would never eat anything else! When I think of New York, no matter where I’ve lived or traveled, when I come back, all I want is a big, cheeseburger!
What makes this burger over-the-top is that it relies heavily on Land O LakesÒ Deli American, you know, the slices you get fresh from your deli. The perfect thickness needed to get that ultimate, gooey, melty deliciousness on your burger and, in this case, we’re going inside and OUT! What’s great about Land O LakesÒ Deli American is that because it’s sliced fresh, you know that it’ll taste great.
This recipe delivers four beyond-gooey burgers full of that delicious Deli American and, of course, all of the bacon! Now, for the recipe!
Yields 4 Burgers
1.5lbs Ground Beef
8 (3/4-ounce) Land O Lakes® Deli American Slices, divided
2 tbsp. Butter, melted
4 Hamburger Buns
Sliced Red Onions
Preheat your oven to 400°F and place bacon in a single layer on a large baking sheet. Bake for 15-20 minutes until crispy. When done, transfer to a paper towel lined plate and set aside.
In a medium bowl, season your ground beef with kosher salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Knead together until incorporated, and then make eight 3oz. burger balls. Flatten each ball into a patty and set aside. On a clean cutting board, chop two slices of bacon (1/2 piece bacon per burger). Take four of your Land O Lakes® Deli American slices and break each one into quarters. Place four quarters of the Deli American slices in the center of four of the patties. Sprinkle bacon pieces evenly over the Deli American. Top each half with a plain patty and pinch the edges together until sealed.
Heat your grill to medium high and oil your grill grate. Place burgers on the grill and cook for about 5 minutes. Gently flip and cook for an additional 4-5 minutes. When you have 1-2 minutes left on your cook time, add a slice of Deli American to each burger. Remove from the grill, loosely tent with aluminum foil and set aside for a few minutes.
Brush melted butter on your burger buns and toast them for a couple of minutes until golden brown. Place a burger on the bottom half of each bun. Top with bacon, lettuce, tomato, onion, and pickle slices (or whatever combination is your favorite). Bite in and enjoy all that ooey, gooey Land O Lakes® Deli American!
